Clayton had to attend the conference in Canberra on Friday 16th. He decided to take me and Aditya with him so we could have a short holidays there. We drove to get to Canberra and it took 9 hours to get there and it was include the stopped for a rest aqnd lunch. Also I needed to feed Aditya and changed his nappy. We left Bendigo at 9am and got into Canberra at 6pm.

When we finished unloaded our lugaged we went out to look for a nice place to have our dinner. We went to chinese restaurant and had a very nice food there.

On Friday when Clayton went for the conference, Aditya and I took a walk in tthe city. We did a window shopping. In the evening when Clayton came back from the conference we arranged to meet his friend John who lived in Canberra. We had a picnic on the Lake Barley Griffin with John and his wife Vicky and also his cute son Michael. We had pizza and zuchini balls.

The next day we visited John and his family. They took us to see Cockington Green. It was a very nice place to visit. You could see a lot of mini building and places from around the world. Vicky had to take Michael home because he was tired. So John came with us in our car to take us to see the Parliament House. We did a tour and the things that amazed me was a very big tapestry who made by hand. It took more than a year to finished that tapestry. It was made based on the painting which painted by an artist Arthur Boyd in 1984. The weight of the tapistry was an half tonnes. The tour guide also told us that the name of Canberra was taken from the Aboriginal laguage meant meeting point. She showed us some parts of the building.

John also took us to see the War Memorial. Unfortunately we were late. They were nearly closed. We just saw a little bit of the closing ceremony but that was fine. Maybe if we came to Canberra next time we could visit this place.

On Sunday, Clayton took Aditya and I to see Sydney. We drove to Sydney suburb called Campbelltown. We parked our car in the station and took a train from there. It took one and half hour to get to the central of Sydney. We visited the Sydney Opera House and did the tour. It was a very beautiful building. Salute for the designer who planned this beautiful building. As usual I forgot his name but I really appreciated his amazing work. When the tour guide took us into one of the performance room she said that the the first and the second row of the seat near the stage was build under the sea level. How amazing.

From the Sydney Opera House we could see a famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

We also took a ferry ride. Before we left Sydney, we visited Central Point Tower. It was so high and we could saw the view of Sydney from the top of this tower. The size of this tower was more than 4 times a high as the Opera house and more than double the height of the Harbour Bridge. Could you imagine that :D

Anyway…it was a big trip for Clayton and I….specially for our little Aditya but we enjoyed it :)
